The ISM762 short-range radio beacon transmits an individually programmable ID. This ID is then picked up by a receiver and automatically saved or forwarded as a location message.
Such a receiver is e.g. the option board DMR915, installed in a MOTOTRBOTM radio of the DP4000 series. The radio then transmits the beacon ID to a control centre. Based on the received ID and the known beacon position, the receiver can be localised. The position can be evaluated and displayed with a software, e.g. the RTG9040.
